Elia Varini was born in Locarno in 1995. He began to express himself pictorially through graffiti, developing an increasingly abstract style during his years at CSIA in Lugano, where he graduated in 2015. Between 2016 and 2022 he moves between various locations outside Ticino, continuing his artistic research on wall and canvas and participating in group exhibitions. Since May 2023, he has been working in his studio at Casa Azul in Gordola. Varini’s work is based on an interest in the spiritual journey that emerges from the combination of painting and space.
